Our top tips for this year's Fringe.

August might seem a while away yet but Edinburgh is slowly starting to prepare itself for one of its busiest months - the Festival Fringe, and you should be too. If you’re too busy sunning yourself on a beach this July to pick up the programme and note down some favourites and must-sees don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Here’s our top picks for this years’ Fringe!

Guru DuDu

One of our favourites from last year is set to return this year and he comes highly recommended. Guru DuDu was unforgettably one of the highlights of the 2017 Festival Fringe. Who could forget the spontaneous flash mobs that took place around Edinburgh and the interpretative dancing around the city’s top landmarks? Equipped with headphones playing a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s music these people sure got some strange looks, but who cares when it looked so much fun! Grab a friend and give it a go, you won’t regret it! Tickets are selling fast so make sure to book!

Vertical Influences

This is something that is certainly a bit different and not your usual go to Fringe show… Forget Dancing on Ice, the Canadian ice skating troupe Le Patin Libre is back this year and promises to entertain. Watch as they glide around the ice creating some impressive designs onto the surface before you’re asked to sit on the ice for the second half as they skate straight towards you… Book tickets here:

Trainspotting Live

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose Trainspotting Live. If you were a massive fan of both films then this is for you. If you hate being in an audience that becomes part of the show then maybe give this a miss… This adaptation of the classic gets going from the word go and with Irvine Welsh’s seal of approval you know it’s definitely not to be missed.

Lost Voice Guy

If you’re a fan of Britain’s Got Talent then you’ll know exactly who this is. If you’ve never heard of him then we recommend that you grab you tickets now! Winner of Britain’s Got Talent and BBC New Comedy Award winner, Lee Ridley, aka Lost Vice Guy, uses a communication device to speak  and his new comedy act will end up leaving you being the one who is speechless. Candidly lough out loud funny this is one of our must-see’s for this year!

We hope this has given you some ideas for this years’ Festival Fringe! And don’t worry, if you’re doing the Fringe on a budget we will share our top Free Fringe picks very soon!
